Hi Everybody,    Do youl love community cookbooks as much as I do?  I have one from my local town, the North Methodist Church Cookbook, two from the hospital where I volunteer (I have a recipe in one), one from the local Independent living place here, The Methodist Oaks Cookbook.  I also have local cookbooks from Kingsport Tn, Johnson City, Tn, several from Charleston, S.C. and a big one that's a compilation of Midwestern Junior League cookbooks.  Is anyone interested in exchanging this type of cookbook from your local area with another mixer.  they are usually not too expensivel, around 10-20 dollars, and always have really wonderful recipes.  If anyone is interested, please let me know and I'll get it together.  Also, do you think this would make a good new group?  Please give me your feedback.  thanks so much.  Love all your recipes so much.   Magzie

I am interested in finding Iowa Community Cookbooks---the older the better.  As the librarian responsible for the Iowa Community Cookbook collection at Iowa State University, I am a;ways interested in locating cookbooks for our collection.  If you have new or older Iowa Community cookbooks and are interested in finding them a good home you can contact me via this list or directly.  I can arrange to pay for new cookcooks. If you are interested in learning more about the collection it has web pages at: http://www.lib.iastate.edu/spcl/exhibits/iowacookbook/history.html

The cookbooks I've found have been spoken for, but if I find more, I'll post 'em again.

I've found a couple tucked away in our storage attics.  Great finds for local interest, but not really my cup of tea.  If anyone's interested, let me know, and you can have 'em!

Q. Around 1980 there was a cover recipe in either Woman's Day or Family Circle for beef rouladen with scrambled eggs and carrot. I lost all my favorite recipes in Hurrican Andrew in 1992. Does anyone have this? I have tried both magazine archives to no avail. Thanks. Chef 123
