sour cream candy?

A friend used to make a candy that looks as if it has been pulled, like taffy, but melts in your mouth like a butter mint.  I used to buy it at Metamora, Indiana but the shop is now closed.  I would love to make it for Christmas gifts.  Would anyone know what this candy might be?
