Gourmet Magazine is closing... are you sad?

I'm sad to see Gourmet Magazine close. I love Ruth Reichl, I love their food photography and in-depth articles.  Anyone else sad to see it go?

"Condé Nast Publications Inc. will close Gourmet and three other publications as the magazine giant seeks to position the company for a slow advertising recovery." See article here:

And I loved "Comfort Me with Apples" and "Tender to the Bone"  -- I think great food memoir's are just as delicious as an amazingly good meal.

This was terribly shocking to me. I love Gourmet, and I feel Ruth Reichl is kind of like the Anna Wintour of food. I think it's a sad day when one of the most beloved food magazines is folded.

Oh, bummer. I didn't know they were folding up. I love that mag. I absolutely loved "Garlic and Sapphires". Ruth is an awesome novelist, too.
