Yummy strawberries, angel food, and strawberry cream all together!

 

Servings:         10-12

Prep time:       15 minutes

Cook time:      30 minutes

Total time:       45 minutes

 

Ingredients:

1 angel food box cake mix
1 1/4 c water
1 pint heavy cream
4 tbsp sugar (divided)
2 quarts fresh strawberries (cleaned & sliced)
1/2 c water
1 (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
4 tbsp strawberry preserves
1 whole strawberry ( save a nice one)

 

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bundt pan.
2. Mix cake mix and water, will be thin. Place cake mixture in prepared pan and bake 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
3. While cake is baking, make strawberry cream filling.
4. In mixing bowl place heavy cream and 2 tbsp sugar. beat on high until peaks form. Save about 1 cup of whipped cream for top of dessert.
5. Add cream cheese and strawberry preserves to remaining whipped cream and mix . Chill in fridge until assembly time.
6. Place strawberries in bowl, add 2 tbsp sugar and about 1/2c water. Sqhish around with hands or large spoon. Chill in fridge until assembly time.
7. Remove cake from oven and place upside down on cooling rack for 30 minutes.
8. Assembley time. Alternate layers of strawberries, cake, and cream filling, until the end where you put your saved whipped cream and top with a whole strawberry.
