Did you laugh when you said the name? If not say it again, see if that does it, lol! If it doesn't, oh boo you party pooper. ;o) (just teasin')

Servings:         about 5 dozen

Ingredients:

It's supposed to be an alternative to the much less lively name of Pecan Fingers. You will find this recipe at various Internet sites, a pretty basic cookie that you can flavor any way you want. I'm way more into a crescent moon shape than I am a log shape, so when I make mine, I shape them into crescent moons. Primo dunkers, no matter what shape!!

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks (1 cup) butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
2 tsps. vanilla (or choose any flavor)
1 cup pecans, finely chopped
1 cup confectioners sugar

Directions:

Mix flour and salt; you can sift them if you want. Beat together butter, honey, and flavoring until creamy. Mix in flour mixture at low speed just until blended, then stir in pecans. Form dough into a flat ball and chill, wrapped in plastic wrap, until firm. Preheat oven to 300F. When ready to bake, make 1 1/2-inch balls of dough into 2x1/2-inch logs; arrange one inch apart on greased or parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake until golden about 25 minutes. Roll in confectioners sugar while still warm. Transfer to a rack and cool. Then re-roll in confectioners sugar.

Oh, my. Puckle Warts! Love it. "Oh, by the way, you just ate some warts." Too darned funny. And I'm with you my little moonbeam...I wouldn't miss this stuff, either. Hey, maybe you should go on the Tonight show or Jay Leno and see what he thinks of Puckle Warts. Bound to have some beauts.
