Ingredients:

4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups salad oil
3/4 cup water
5 eggs
1 large can (3 cups) pumpkin, or pumpkin mix
2 cups raisins
2 cups chopped walnuts
4 2/3 cups flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
3/4 t. baking powder
3 t. cinnamon
2 t. allspice
5 cans coffee cans (11.5 oz) or your preferred containers (I like rounds for toasting bread!)

 

Directions:

Grease cans well. Do not flour. Preheat oven to 350. Mix sugar and oil, then add eggs and beat well. Add pumpkin then water. Combine dry ingredients and add to wet mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins. Fill coffee cans or other containers 1/2 full; set on cookie sheet. Bake for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours, depending upon ovens. Check bread with long skewer to test dryness (toothpick test).
