Ingredients:

1 1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup powdered milk
1/3 cup powdered nondairy creamer
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons coffee granules
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
coffee syrup, recipe follows

 

Directions:

Combine first five ingredients in a medium bowl. Combine coffee granules and cinnamon in a small bowl. Spoon half of flour mixture into a pint sized jar. Layer coffee mixture over flour mixture. Spoon remaining flour mixture over coffee mixture. Seal container. Give with coffee syrup and attached instructions. Makes 2 cups.
Coffee syrup:
1 cup brewed coffee
2 cups sugar
combine both ingredients in a pan; cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil, without stirring; boil two minutes. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Makes one of three-quarter cup.
Instructions:
beaten 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 cup sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually blend butter mixture into waffle mix with a pastry blender or two forks until crumbly. Place mixture in a mixing bowl; add three-quarter cup water and two eggs, stirring until just mixed. Bake according to waffle iron manufacturers directions. Serve with warm coffee syrup. Makes 5 to 6 waffles
