I made this today, but I don't like stuff in my banana bread, so I didn't put in the nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips, and it still tastes amazing!!!  Thanks for the recipe!  I'll definitely be making this one again. :D

LaLa I am so glad you and the lads enjoyed it. I have quite a few Guinness recipes in my Traditional Irish Recipes and More group. Guinness has a unique flavour that is one in it's own. Not only is it good for baking, I like to use it to tenderize meats such as ribs. Soak or boil them in Guinness before you cook them on the grill or oven and WOW!! Meat falls off the bone and it really adds flavour to it. Hope you will try my other recipes. I am sure the lads at the church group will love you for it.

Q. Just joined and, already, love this site! I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who would be interested in a group for singles, like myself. After a lifetime of cooking in large "family" quantities; I found myself really challenged after becoming widowed. I've learned a few tricks about buying, storing, and cooking food for one and would like to hear from others on the subject.
