Source: old standard block cream cheese spread made creepy

Skull shaped cream cheese spread with spicy topping

Servings:         10 to 15 people

Prep time:       45 min plus frig time

Cook time:      none

Total time:       45 min

Ingredients:

2 Packages soften cream cheese blocks
1 jar either hot peppered rasberry jelly or smoothe red colored salsa (level of spicyness up to you)
1 small can whole green chilies
Box of crackers for jelly or tortilla chips for salsa

Directions:

Un wrap and place both cream cheese on a serving plater trying to keep retangle shape. Form a skull out of cream cheese. Copy from a picture or a decoration you have on hand using a wet knife to form. Make sure the sunken areas are deep enough to show details. The skull shouldn't be too thick about 1/2 inch. This will ensure your guests won't get all cheese and nothing else. The surface of the cheese will be rough. After forming skull use a damp paper towel or butter knife to smooth surface. Refrigerate till cheese has become hard again about 2 1/2 hours. When ready to serve pour jelly or salsa over the skull filling large spaces. Make sure you put some on teeth. Cut chilies into long strips and arrange on skeleton to look like worms crawling in and out of the skull. Serve with knife. Use crackers with jelly or tortilla chips with salsa.
