I make these frequently ~ different versions as well, such as chocolate cake mix with chocolate chips or banana cake mix with peanut butter chips ~ and I love the ease and speed with which you can mix up a batch.  (They're great for a bake sale, when you need to make a bunch of cookies, and they travel/pack well.)  I use butter instead of oil, and I think that the cookie turns out a bit sweeter than standard cookie recipes.  A fun recipe to personalize ~ I've added nuts, white or chocolate chips, dried fruit bits ~ to these I'd like to try adding some cinnamon chips....can never have too much cinnamon, lol.  Great post Jackee, thanks for sharing.

I just love snickerdoodles.I will have to try this cake mix version. There use to be a cookie stand that had the cinnamon and sugar swirled into the cookie and then the dough was rolled into plain sugar to bake.I would like to figure out how to get that swirled effect.Any ideas anyone?Anyway, snikerdoodles ROCK!

I used to make Snickerdoodles for my boys when they were little, for an after school snack.   I still make them from time to time because they are so good, and because they always bring back memories!    I never used a cake mix, though, so I'll have to try it this way, too.  Thanks!
