Source: From the south

 

great soup

 

Servings:         6 to 8

Prep time:       15 mins

Cook time:      all day

Total time:       all day plus 15 mins

 

Ingredients:

one large can of kinney beans
one large onion
two green peppers
2lbe of ground hamburger
one can of crushed tomatoes
garlic
tyme
salt& pepper to taste
basil 4 leavse whole
chille power two teaspoons
one jar of green olives med jar

 

Directions:

cut in med slices cabbages
cut the onion in large pieces
cut the peppers in med pieces
break up the hamburger
put the tomatoes in pot with the rest
one tablespoon if garlic
one tablespoon of tyme
add the basil
one table spoon of chille power
fry in the pot till the vegs are semie solft
fill the pot with cold water cold water always brings out the taset as it cooks
add the salt & pepper to taste as you cook.
med jar of greem olives

do you cook the meat separate and what do youdd to it if you do. do you add it to  the boiling water all togther> thanks you

I had a sweet and sour soup. . . anyone familiar >? it was also a cabbage soup. . . how many heads of cabbage in this recipe. . .forgotten in the ingredients. . . what color cabbage >? unique with olives. . . cut them >?
