Servings:         24

Prep time:       20

Cook time:      25-30 MIN

Total time:       50 MIN

 

Ingredients:

1 LARGE ONION CUT INTO 1 INCH PIECES

1 RED BELL PEPPER CUT INTO 1 INCH PIECES

1/2 HEAD GARLIC

1/2 CUP CHOPPED TOMATOES

8 OUNCES SLICE ALPINE LACES REDUCED FAT SWISS CHEESE

1/2 TSP SAGE AND 1/2 TSP SALT

24 1/2 INCH SLICES FRENCH BREAD

FRESH PARSLEY IF DESIRED

 

Directions:

HEAT OVEN TO 400. PLACE ONION RED PEPPER GARLICIN SINGLE LAYER ON A GREASED 15X10X1 JELLY ROLL PAN

BAKE FOR 25-30 MIN OR UNTIL JUST BEGIN TO BROWN REMOVE FROM OVEN COOL COMPELETELY

REMOVE SKIN FROM GARLIC CHOP ONION PEPPER AND GARLIC

COMBINE CHOPPED ROASTED VEGETABLE WITH TOMATOES AND CHEEESE,SAGE AND SALT IN LARGE BOWL

PLACE BREAD SLICES ONTO UNGREASED BAKING PAN BAKE FOR 3 MIN

SPREAD ABOUT 2 TBSP OF MIXTURE ONTO EACH BREAD SLICE

CONTINUE TO BAKE ANOTHER 5-6 MIN SPRINKLE WITH PARSLEY IF DESIRED
